Dahlia
Onyx
Latte
Look at this beautiful little family! The puppies now have names- Dahlia, the adorable black and white female, Onyx is the curly haired black male, and Latte is the soft fawn colored male. They are growing so fast, and are venturing outside the confines of their whelping pen- and on a lovely day this week explored the back yard! Mama Mango stayed right next to them, making sure that they were safe- and the pups were so curious and playful. They are loving, cuddly little angels, and perfectly healthy. Before too long they will be in forever homes, bringing joy to their new families.

Here are some new pics of the three musketeers! And you can see how much they've developed in the last few weeks...they are so alert and playful! But still inseparable, best friends, who are never far from each other. Their coats are so soft and shiny, and each is just as sweet and loving as can be. Our "name the pups" contest is coming to a close! Stay tuned....

Hi – since I don’t have a name either I will tell you that I am the shiny black puppy with curly hair and little white “socks” on my feet. I’m pretty and dainty and my mom says I look just like a real princess. It’s hard to feel like a princess with my brothers close by – sometimes they can be so uncouth! I like the new toys too but not after my brothers have slobbered all over them. My foster mom gave me my own toys to play which is so cool, no boy cooties! I love to lay next to my mom, she is so wonderful. I love the way she takes care of us. Although lately I have noticed she has been playing with the other dogs in the house more and even going outside a lot. My foster mom has a doggy door and mom has learned to use it and loves to go outside for some sun and fun. I’m glad she is enjoying her life too because she had a rough life until now. We are going outside to play too but I don’t know when. My brothers are so excited about it but I don’t know what the big deal is – it’s just grass and dirt – yuck! I don’t want to get my white socks dirty. I just don’t know why we can’t just all stay in our home with our nice clean blankets!!!

Hey everyone – it’s me , uhn that’s right I don’t have a name yet. I really want one cause that’s all I’m missing – a name will mean I’m someone special! My mom says I’m the athlete of the family – I have no problem rolling right over my brother and sister and even mom (but only sometimes) to get where I want to go. I am just learning how to walk and boy is it fun. Sometimes I lose my balance and go tumbling down but most of the time I can walk just like my mom only not as good. I love to be picked up and held by my foster mom – she is always laughing because I make funny noises when she rubs my belly or rubs my back. I can’t help it – it just comes out. So far life isn’t too bad, I’m always warm and toasty and my belly is always full. Now that we can see my foster mom gave us some toys to play with. I like to push my stuffed animals around with my nose and when I get tired I like to lay on them and take a nap. Yup life is good! Oh and you know what??? I heard my foster mom say as soon as it’s warm enough she is going to take us outside….outside yeah!!! I can’t wait to go exploring. I need to be in tip top shape for this adventure…. Well I better go so I can practice walking real good.

Hi – it’s me – I don’t have a name yet but my foster mom tells me I’m a real big boy. I love to eat and I always get to the “serving line” first – even if I push my little brother out of the way ….hey that’s what big brothers do! But my foster mom says I’m such a sweetie. I love to roll on my back and get tummy rubs. It’s so cool and feels so good.  My mom laughs at me because she says I seem to always have my tongue out as if I am tasting the air! I kinda am…. I can smell and taste now, it’s soooo cool.  Now I gotta tell you, I love adventure! I like to roam all over my home, I am so ready to see the world. I love it when my foster mom picks me up because I know I am going to see something different, something I have never seen before, plus I love being held. My foster mom always talks so sweet to me – I love it! And when she is changing out the blankets in our home and puts us on the floor and I’m always the first one to go exploring.  I know one day soon, I will get to go to my forever home. But I’m not ready to leave my mom yet. She is the best mom ever, even though she gives me too many baths (yuck). She is so kind and gentle and she takes real good care of me and my brother and sister. I know one day she will go to her forever home – whoever is lucky enough to have my mom will really be the luckiest person ever….

What a difference a week makes! You can see how alert and inquisitive these sweet babies are, and how much they love to cuddle with each other and their mama. And they are just perfect, with soft, shiny fur and happy smiles. They are getting everything they need in their foster home and from their mama Mango to ensure that they stay warm and healthy until they are ready for their forever homes.

We have puppy pics! They are just adorable, with shiny, healthy fur- and are progressing exactly as they should in the early days of their lives. Mango is such a good mama, making sure they don't leave her side. They eat, sleep, squirm around a little, cuddle with each other and sleep a little more. Their foster mom is making sure that they are warm, safe and healthy and just loves watching them grow. We know that they won't be ready to leave their mama for weeks, and have time to find them perfect homes! If you would like to open up your heart and home to one of these darling puppies and would like more information about how to adopt, please visit their profile- http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/25663983

A major milestone! This baby girl's eyes have opened! Mango's foster mama was greeted by this sweet face this morning and is just thrilled....the next 10 or 12 weeks will have so many changes and special things happening in the lives of the puppies, and each one excites us!

I have some sad news tonight. One of Mango's sweet puppies, the brown and white baby, has passed away. Mango is so sad, and we are too. We know, though, that Mango and her puppies have absolutely received the best possible care. We are so pleased and hopeful too because her other pups are healthy and thriving!

Nine days old! And as sweet as they come. ALL of Mango's babies appear to be healthy little angels, and are typical newborns- sleepy and cuddling with eachother and their mama. It's too early to tell what sort of personalities will emerge, which will be the spunky one, which will be the most playful- but it's so exciting to see their growth, and know that all will find happy homes!

Oh my goodness look at this sweet little family!Tiny, squirmy, soft little pups... so young their eyes are not even open! Barely a week old, and so much ahead. And Mango is such a good mama, making sure each is fed and groomed. Doesn't it melt your heart!

Meet Mango and her pups! We rescued a very pregnant Mango from a terrible hoarding situation in Texas- she was dumped at a high kill shelter, hungry and afraid. Mango is a chihuahua mix, about 9 lbs- and dad is a traveling salesman. We were asked to help her and of course we said YES! She's now with her caring foster mother in New England and on March 5 gave birth to four darling puppies. Barely a few ounces each, 2 boys and 2 girls. Mango is a very good mama! It warms our hearts to know that the hard days of Mango's life are over, and she and her puppies will stay in loving foster care until the perfect homes are found. We need help choosing names! Please visit Mango's page on our website-
